Show/Hide Abstract | Cite this paper︱Full-text: PDF (0 B)
Abstract:In this paper, a disc-shaped power tree is constructed for optimal DC performance. Given are the entire disc area and the structure of the tree. The conductivity path number N connecting with the center point source, the radial distance ratio, the area fraction and the number of pairing levels n are free to vary. The effect for parameters on resistance is investigated and the optimal parameters are obtained. The complexity of the tree increases because n increases and a more complex structure is beneficial for flow, but there exists a modest (not maximal) complexity. In the meantime, a disc power plane is designed based on the designed disc-shaped power tree. The disc power plane has multi-functions of equidistribution, low voltage drop, compactness and wideband noise isolation while maintaining a relatively simple design of geometry. Compared with leaf vein power plane, the disc power plane based on two pairing levels has smaller resistance and voltage drop than leaf vein power plane based on the same level assembled vein tree.

Abstract:In this paper, a spider power tree design technique based on constructal theory is introduced for optimal direct current performance. The optimal configuration ratio, the optimal order, and the spider tree dimensions are obtained for optimal voltage drop and resistance. In the meantime, a spider PCB power plane based on the spider tree is developed for printed circuit board. The designed spider power plane example illustrates that the designed plane has multifunctions of low voltage drop, current contour robustness, equidistribution, compactness and effective noise isolation while maintaining a relatively simple design of geometry. The constraints are the total areas of the plane and the high conductivity paths. The degrees of freedom are configuration ratios and assembly number. High complexity is not necessarily the best solution and the optimal assembly level (complexity) is 12.

Abstract:A novel concurrent dual-band receiver with the improved architecture of the Weaver is involved. The Weaver architecture has the ability to discern the required band and the imaged band when it works in single sideband. So with the LOs of the appropriate frequency, the architecture can make out two different signal bands as concurrent dual-band receiver. Compared with a former receiver, the approach can cost less power and reduce system complexity and area. A simulation and theoretical analysis is implemented to demonstrate the feasibility of this approach.

Abstract:A wide-band circularly ploarized antenna for multi-mode Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) is proposed in this article. By introducing air layer, parasitic patch and stacked structure, the circularly polarized bandwidth is enlarged effectively. In addtion, four feeding method is adopted for suppressing the higher modes and increasing the 3dB axial ratio(AR) bandwidth. A broadband and phase shifter with 0 ,90 ,180 ,270 are analysised and designed. Simulated results show that the -10dB impedance bandwidth is up to 51.6%,which can cover the whole GNSS frequency.

Abstract:The article designs a homothermal control system----an electric cup based on TMS320LF2407 chip that is manufactured by TI Company. Temperature is one of the main parameters controlled in the electric cup, but it is very difficult to control temperature well because of some characteristics of the temperature itself. For example temperature's inertia is great, its time-lag is serious and it is difficult to establish accurate mathematical model of the object. This paper is to study an adapt control method to control the temperature of the electric cup. For the electric cup, there are many control methods to be selected. The article selects acute and rapid PID arithmetic.

Abstract:According to the response of photoelectric device to a light source, the formula of spectral matching factor of low-light-level and infrared fusion optoelectronic detector-object combination is deduced. The spectral matching factors of photo cathode and infrared detector for green vegetation are calculated and compared. Through the analysis of results it shows that spectral matching factor has influence on the performance of low light level and infrared fusion night vision system.

Abstract:According to the spectral distribution of a laser illuminator and the reflectivity of the objects, the reflective spectral distributions of dark green paint, rough concrete, and green vegetation under laser radiation are deduced for a low-light-level night-vision system with a laser illuminator. The spectral-matching factors of Super S25 and New S25 photocathodes for dark green paint, rough concrete, and green vegetation are calculated and compared. The results show that the evaluation of visual range for a night-vision system with a laser illuminator under field circumstances is greatly influenced by the spectral-matching factor.

Abstract:The design and development of novel microelectromechanical systems' (MEMS) coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission lines, using microshield and groove, are presented in the paper to operate between 5-60 GHz. The quasi-static capacitances of CPW are calculated using the conformal mapping technique to express the propagation properties, i.e., the characteristic impedance and effective permittivity. Simulation results have shown a considerable loss reduction to levels that compare favorably with the conventional CPW. These transmission lines can be widely used in the development of phase shifters, filters, and antennas, because of their advantages in loss reduction and improvement in the performance.

Show/Hide Abstract | Cite this paper︱Full-text: PDF (0 B)
Abstract:In this paper, a novel switchable filter which can alternate between low-pass filter (LPF) and band-pass filter (BPF) is proposed, based on the micro-electromechanical systems' (MEMS) capacitive-contact switch on coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission line. The novel design is constructed using electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structures and the combination between the MEMS switch and the coupled slot of CPW signal line. When the MEMS capacitive-contact switch stays with up-state, the EBG BPF is obtained with the resonant frequency of 15.9GHz and the bandpass frequency ranged from 2.5 to 28.3GHz. When the MEMS capacitive-contact switch is pulled down by DC bias voltage, an EBG LPF is yielded with 3dB cut-off frequency is 28.1GHz. The MEMS capacitive-contact switch is applied as the transformer between LPF and BPF using a cantilever beam.
