Abstract:Compared with the parallel bus,I2C bus do require less wiring, fewer IC connection pins, and the less number of traces required on printed circuit boards. So there are many applications of I2C bus in IC design. In this paper, the principle and the operation of I2C bus will be introduced. Also the design of I2C slave in FPGA and I2C master in PC which is simulated by the parallel ports will be discussed.

Abstract:The spatial plasma density distribution in the reaction chamber of the quartz tube microwave plasma apparatus is diagnosed at p = 1.20 kpa, Pw = 440W by a Langmuir probe, obtaining the biggest plasma density 1.05×1012/cm3. Also, the plasma density under different discharge gas pressure and power is diagnosed. Diamond-like carbon films are achieved at p = 6.8kPa, Pw = 680W with CH4 flow rate being 6ml/min and H2 flow rate being 200ml/min and detected by AFM, Raman spectroscopy instrument and profiler.

Abstract:We have proposed and designed a novel microstrip ring antenna based on a simplified left-handed transmission line structure. We take away the series capacitors to modify the commonly used composite light/left-handed transmission line structure, which can reduce both the size and the structure complexity, while it still processes the zero phase velocity under certain operating condition. The resonance at which the phase propagation constant is zero is investigated through both the finite element method based full-wave electromagnetic simulation and experiment. Operated at the resonant frequency, the antenna features an omni-directional radiation pattern which is similar to a vertical half-wavelength dipole. The antenna also has the advantages of low-profile, compactness and low cross-polarization level.

Abstract:Etched aluminum foils covered with bismuth titanium oxide Bi4Ti3O12 (BTO) by sol-gel coating has been studied. There were some “whiskers” of metallic luster on the surface after thermal treatment under some special conditions. The “whiskers” were verified as Bi and Al via scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDXA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), which can react with borate solution. The effects of technological parameters such as heat-treatment temperature T, precursor concentration C, and heating rate V have been explored. It is shown that the formation difficulty of Bi and Al increases with the T, C and decreases with V.

Abstract:A high stable, reproducible and water-based bismuth titanate (BTO) sol system has been synthesized by an aqueous sol-gel method. First bismuth nitrate was dissolved in acetic acid, and then it was mixed with a solution of lactic acid dissolved tetra-n-butyl titanate, subsequently, water was added to adjust sol concentration. The obtained sols or gels were characterized by Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometer (UV), differential thermal analysis and thermo-gravimetry (TG-DTA), in-situ Raman, and high-temperature X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD). Results show that the BTO sol can keep stable for more than one year and completely convert into BTO at 533℃.

Abstract: A new type of combined electron focusing-deflection system is proposed, in which the orientation of the deflection field is rotated following the rotation of the electrons caused by the magnetic lens field. The deflection direction rotated electrical deflectors can be constructed by using TWE (tube wall electrode) systems. Formulae are derived for the first-order optical properties, third order geometrical aberrations and first-order chromatic aberrations of this system. A program was written in FORTRAN for numerical computation. An example is given; the computation results show that compared to the conventional systems, the proposed new system has lower deflection aberration coefficients.

Abstract:Differential algebraic method is of an effective technique in computer numerical analysis. It implements exactly differentiation up to arbitrary high order based on the nonstandard analysis. Some complicated nonlinear dynamics problems including high order aberrations of electron optics systems can be solved by mapping properties of differential algebraic quantities. However, the existed electron optical differential algebraic method can only be applied to those problems where the electric and / or magnetic fields are expressed in analytic forms. In this paper, the principle of differential algebraic method is applied to practical electron lenses whose electric / magnetic fields are in the forms of discrete arrays, for example, the files computed by FEM or FDM method. Thus the developed new differential algebraic method is applicable to engineering design. The programs were written for computing the high order aberrations of practical electron lenses. An example is given to show that the numerical results have good accuracy compared with the results computed by using the electric fields expressed in analytical form; the accuracy is limited only by the accuracy of the numerical computation of the fields and the arithmetic errors, and it is enough for engineering design.

Abstract:A low-power dissipation keyboard in wireless terminals, based on A/D converter method, is practiced in this paper. Most wireless terminals based on microcontroller have an on-board small keyboard and various switches, using a large number of microcontroller I/O pins then leaving small number of pins available for other uses. The designed keyboard employs only single I/O pins and saves the power dissipation effectively. The power dissipation behaviors of two keyboards, one is based on scanning method and another on A/D converter method, was compared and analyzed. The keyboard has been applied in a practical system.
